Saturday Reset - Issue #041 - The half nobody else sells

Hi Reader,

One correction before anything else: I told you the live session was August 12. I’m moving it. Here’s the honest reason — the Sampler Pack lands Monday, August 17, and running a live workshop on the loop five days before you have the thing that runs it was backwards sequencing on my part. The workshop moves to September, after you’ve had a few weeks to put the Sampler to work in your own business — so when you watch the loop run live, your own work is in it, not mine. The Sampler still lands on the 17th, as promised. I’ll name the September date once it’s out the door — reply “webinar” and you’ll be the first to get it.

Now, the thing I actually want to give you this week: the argument I’ve been building for eight Saturdays, landed in one place.

The half nobody else sells

For eight Saturdays I’ve made the case in pieces: a pile decays, a system compounds, corrections are the asset, measurement is the foundation. The full mechanism is written up here: curiochat.ai/blog/self-improving-ai-workflow-compounding-leverage

Here’s the part I’ve been holding back all summer.

Most “AI leverage” pitches sell escape — the AI does the work so you don’t have to. That’s the easy, table-stakes half. The deeper leverage is accumulation: the workflow gets better because you used it. And there’s a second accumulation almost nobody names — you get better too.

A self-improving workflow is not a workflow that runs without you. Run right, the loop is a literacy machine: every correction you make sharpens the system and sharpens your own judgment about the work, because you’re the one deciding what “better” means each week. The system compounds. So do you. One act — using it — drives both.

That’s the whole bet. Not a smarter tool and a sidelined you. Smarter owner, smarter tool — together.

Monday the 17th: your first piece of it

The Sampler Pack lands Monday, August 17 — three working templates from the Pack Library. Free, yours to keep. It’s not the whole loop; it’s the on-ramp: real templates you can run in your business this month, so that by the September session you’re watching the mechanism with your own work in it. Not on the list yet? curiochat.ai/sampler/

Your Pattern Tweak — what to do when it lands

Quick read: Architect — read one template end to end first. Surfer — run one the day it lands. Keeper — run it twice a week apart, keep both outputs. Pilot — pick one, park the rest. (Want to know your Type? Reply “quiz”.)

P.S.: Moving a date I announced isn’t fun. But shipping you a workshop about compounding before you had anything to compound would have been worse. The sequencing is the discipline; the date was the casualty.

Hi Reader, On Monday I sent you one question. Few of you answered (which is its own answer) and the answers that came mostly said the same thing: stay in the lane. So this is the lane. Saturday Reset goes back to what it has always been: productivity that fits your wiring, designed for your worst day. The AI work gets its own home. I’ll tell you where at the very end, in one short note you’re free to skip. That’s the whole change. Now, September. Mini Insight The end of August does something...

Hi Reader,Open the AI you use most and ask one question: if I stopped using it tomorrow, what would I take with me? If the answer is “nothing — my standards live in their tool,” you’re using an assistant, and renting. If the answer is “my standards, my corrections, my whole way of working, because they live in my system,” you’re running an operating system, and owning. Most people, honestly, are renting. Assistant vs. operating system An assistant responds to the request in front of it and...

Hi Reader,“But my work is judgment work. You can’t measure that.” I’ve heard it a hundred times, and I understand why people believe it — the only way you’ve ever experienced AI is without a standard, without a review, without a number. Just vibes. So measuring it sounds impossible, or like pretending. Here’s the thing. I spent 35 years measuring things people swore couldn’t be cleanly measured — risk, exposure, the probability a number was wrong — at two of North America’s largest banks....
